Here is an example of a typical application for our control module.
The unit controls the water refilling system for cattle drinking troughs on a farm. The program includes a "Rinse-drain" cycle to keep the water free from bacteria, sediments, and debris. This function can be programmed to execute after a given number of refill cycles, or following a schedule, or both. It can also be run randomly, if desired, by pressing a button.
The water level in the trough is maintained at a pre-set level and automatically topped-up by a pump from a water tank every time the level reaches a low-level threshold. The level is monitored by a sensor. The trough is equipped with a drain valve for discharge during the "rinse-drain" cycle.
If the level in the trough does not reach the pre-set high point, despite the pump running and the maximum fill timer having elapsed, an alarm is raised on the control unit with a flashing Led and sounding a buzzer. This could be an indication of a pump or drain valve failure.
Level sensors on the supply tank also monitor the high and low thresholds and reflect the level status on the control unit.
This system can be placed on the field with a remote monitoring and control unit if required. The monitoring system can be an array of LEDs with a buzzer, or an LCD displaying fault messages on a screen. The entire operation takes place without human intervention.
This is just an example, the system program can be modified to suit specific requirments. There is no limit to the possibilities of control automation but one's imagination.
